Drill Press Protractor

- You have your choice of degrees and minutes or quarter-degree graduations. Just turn the vernier over to change the scale. The vernier allows you to set small fractions of a degree using a scale where the lines are widely spaced and easy to see (instead of crammed together so tight you can't tell one from another) .
- Ever try to drill a dowel right on its centerline? The vee machined into the base of the DPP makes it a simple set-up. Just bring the vee down onto the dowel and help it "float" into position. Clamp the dowel down and exchange the DPP for your drill bit. Boom…right on the centerline.
- Pair the DPP with a bevel gauge to take your hand tool joinery to a new level of accuracy and repeatability. Just align the beam to the protractor base and the blade to the shaft.
- Set perfect angles on your band saw, too. The round shape of the shaft allows you to align to the body of the band saw blade without interference from the teeth.
- Like all Woodpeckers products, the Drill Press Protractor is precisely machined and carefully inspected right here in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland. We build our tools using stainless steel, anodized aluminum and stainless hardware so you're assured a lifetime of peak performance.

Not Just for Drill Presses!
You have your choice of degrees and minutes or quarter-degree graduations.
Just turn the vernier over to change the scale. The vernier allows you to set small fractions of a degree using a scale where the lines are widely spaced and easy to see
(instead of crammed together so tight you can't tell one from another)
.
"Tramming" your drill press has never been simpler.
Returning your drill press to square can be just as challenging as setting an angle in the first place. But with the Drill Press Protractor, it's remarkably simple. Just set the DPP to 0°, chuck it up, adjust your table to match and lock. For verification, turn the chuck by hand and make sure it doesn't bind at any point.
Ever try to drill a dowel right on its centerline?
The vee machined into the base of the DPP makes it a simple set-up. Just bring the vee down onto the dowel and help it "float" into position. Clamp the dowel down and exchange the DPP for your drill bit. Boom…right on the centerline.
Don't get boxed in by the name.
While we called this the Drill Press Protractor, that's really just the beginning of this tool. For instance, miter gauge scales are notoriously inaccurate. You can set any angle perfectly on your miter gauge by setting the angle on your DPP, then aligning the shaft to the miter bar and the DPP base to the face of the miter gauge.
Pair the DPP with a bevel gauge
to take your hand tool joinery to a new level of accuracy and repeatability. Just align the beam to the protractor base and the blade to the shaft.
Set perfect angles on your band saw, too.
The round shape of the shaft allows you to align to the body of the band saw blade without interference from the teeth.
