The 1/2" bearing-guided bit includes two bearings.
One matches the cutting diameter, as expected. The second – a 5/8" bearing paired with the 1/2" cutter – matches the specifications of several popular commercial hinge template systems. You can upgrade to Ultra-Shear’s superior cutting geometry while continuing to use the jigs and templates you already own. In some cases, you can ditch the template guide bushing you're using now and use the bearing, instead.
